HOW TO JOIN

Application forms are kept at the Village Shop, or can be obtained from any of the committee.

WHERE WE ARE 

The club has two all-weather courts, situated in Carter's Lane, Henham.

Keys to the courts are kept in the clubhouse.

Keys to the clubhouse (one Yale, one mortice) are provided to members on joining, and exchanged on a regular basis.

Courts may be booked up to one week in advance by entering details in the club diary, kept in the clubhouse.

 WHEN WE PLAY

Courts may be used any day from 9am, and are booked for one hour only, on the hour; but please note the following restrictions:

There are senior open club sessions on:

Wednesdays - 6.30 onward (April - Sept. only)

Winter club sessions - To be announced

Coaching will occupy both courts on:

Mondays – 10.00 until 12.00 (Rusty Racquets)

Tuesdays - 3.30 until 6.00 (Junior Squads)

Wednesdays - 3.00 until 6.30 (Junior Squads)

Fridays - 8.45 - 10.30 (Ladies 2nd team)

NB: Juniors take precedence on Saturdays, between 9.00 and 1.00.

Occasionally courts are reserved for interclub matches, Social Tournaments, team coaching etc.

We offer coaching to individuals, groups and juniors. Please contact:

MEMBERSHIP FEES

Annual subscriptions, from 1st May 11 to 30th April 12 are as follows:

Family                                                £135.00

Husband and wife                           £108.00

Adult                                                     £60.00

Junior (12 - 18 years)                         £20.00

Over 18s in F.T. Education               £20.00

Junior under 12                                   £15.00

There are no costs to members for court use.

The fee for guests, whose name should be entered into the guest book, is £2 per session. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure payment of their guest's fee to a committee member.

Each guest is limited to 3 visits per year.

There is a £10 deposit required of new members per set of clubhouse keys. This is refundable on return of the keys - e.g. if membership ceases.

CARE

To preserve the quality of the court surfaces, non-marking footwear is mandatory.

The courts are surrounded by private gardens; should a ball go into one of these, please treat it as lost.  We wish to preserve good relations with our neighbours.

Please wash any refreshment utensils you use.

Please ensure net tension is released, and courts and clubhouse are locked when you finish your session on court. Court keys are to be returned to the table in the clubhouse.

In the event of frost, snow/ice please do not attempt to clear the courts by applying salt onto the frozen surfaces or use anything metal to scrap the snow/ice away

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Annual knock-out tournaments are held each summer and winter.

League competitions are maintained throughout the year.  Matches are played both at home and away. If you are interested in playing in any of the teams, please contact a Committee member

Several one-day fun tournaments are held as well as some social events, eg. quiz evenings, barn dance, Christmas dinner.

Team coaching sessions are sometimes arranged.
