A general discussion took place amongst the group to share feedback from the initial Sub Committee meetings. Challenges were raised and difficulties facing the groups and definition of the planning process discussed.

Sub Committee 1 - Environmental - Unchanged
Sub Committee 2 - Infrastructure - Unchanged
Sub Committee 3 - Residents Groups,
Sub Committee 4
- Village groups and Leisure –
Sub
Committee 5 should merge to form one group to avoid repetition. Therefore a new Sub Committee 3/4/5 Leisure and Residents Groups was formed.
Committee 5 - Education only
Committee 6 – Housing and Employment left unchanged at this stage with an option of splitting into two groups at a later stage based on workload

New schematics attached below:-

All groups were asked to meet again prior to the next Steering Group meeting and identify information or data they require to further their work.

The information requests should be forwarded to the Chairman and Sponsor, who will endeavour to collate these requests and remove repetition across the groups and make applications for answers to the relevant agencies.

The group will move to getting a Parish wide questionnaire launched by the end of February to gather resident’s feedback on key issues.

All information will be posted on www.henham.org and people should be encouraged to use this resource for information sharing amongst the community.

Report by Simon Lee

A good crowd of volunteers, who had pledged their support to the Neighbourhood planning process the village has agreed to undertake, met to discuss the first steps in our plan.

Agenda

Explanation of the Process

Agree the Working Groups

Set the timetable for Phase 1

Simon Lee, the plans sponsor, explained the initial process. As our plan must be all encompassing and canvass as wide option as possible, a number of key subjects areas were put forward to the group.

Each of the Sub Committee groups were put up on the wall and volunteers were asked to visit each Committee area in turn and discuss, evaluate the suggested topics and add comment and new areas for future discussion and investigation.

Volunteers who then asked to sign up for one or two groups they have a particular interest in and this formed the six Working Group Sub Committees.

Sub Committee 2 Infrastructure (click here to view)

Sub Committee 3 Residents Groups (click here to view)

Sub Committee 5 Leisure and Education (click here to view)

Sub Committee 6 Housing and Employment (click here to view)

Each group then appointed a Foreman who would take responsibility for convening the first Sub Committee meetings and kick things off.

These initial meetings must take place before 29th November. The foreman will then be responsible for attending the first Steering Group meeting to report their groups’ initial findings and approach. Pro forma scoping sheets were issued to the groups. These sheets suggest how they may approach their area of investigation. (Also available on the web site).  Click here for briefing sheets.

At the Steering Group meeting 29th November, 8pm OSCA a Chairman will be appointed to lead the process of formulating our plan for the village.

We will have support from our advisers and Jan Cole fro RCCE, Rural Community Council Essex and Uttlesford District Council.

On a personal note I must thank everyone for volunteering and for giving their time and commitment to this very important project.

There are still places available should anyone wish to volunteer.  Please contact me directly simonlee001@aol.com

Meeting closed 8.50pm
