Parsonage Stables Henham
|
Parsonage Stables are
situated in the
picturesque village of
Henham in North West
Essex. The nineteenth
century stables have
been lovingly restored
into four holiday
cottages offering modern
facilities in a
traditional setting.
The stables are in the
front yard of our
working arable farm
which is in the heart of
the village, next to the
church and almost
opposite the pub. The
farm has belonged to the
Pimblett family since
1902 and is mainly
arable, we have
conservation grade
status and crops grown
are wheat, oats, barley
and oilseed rape.
Additionally there is a
small herd of Dexter
cattle, a few chickens
and two guinea fowl!
Other old farm buildings
are now used by Saffron
Brewery (www.saffronbrewery.co.uk)
brewing beer available
at the local pub and the
Saffron Ice Cream
Company (www.saffronicecream.co.uk).

Henham is a typical English village with picturesque thatched cottages,
duck ponds and open green areas. Located in north-west Essex and close
to the historical towns of Saffron Walden and Thaxted. There is a
railway station just 1.5 miles away serving Cambridge (30mins) and
London (55mins). London Stansted airport is within a 10 minute drive
although the village is not under the flight path.
Jarndag is within easy walking distance of the village public
house/restaurant and is opposite St Mary’s a beautiful twelfth century
church. Henham also has a small post office and community shop. There is
a nine hole golf Golf course and driving range in the next village with
